CEP might not have made it to Sunday, but they have proven they aren’t to be counted out. The team that was forgettable last season showed that they have the heart to compete and have gained the paintball intellect to win. They’re out for now, but we’d bet our gear bags that they’ll be the breakout team of the season. Being lead by Robbie Goldsmith, it's clear to see these players weren't wasting off season. Expect to see the guys on the podium before the season is over.

With the average age of Dynasty reaching retirement at the end of last season, it was obvious that they had the experience, and the skills but were lacking something. During the off-season, they picked up Brandon Short, Kyle Spicka, and Tyler Harmon.
Although we’re not sure which of these new comers will prove to be the most valuable in Texas, let alone the best pick up for the season, it has been observed that Tyler Harmon seems to be injecting a good bit of energy into the establishment. Although he might not be getting the most confirmed kills, Matty Marshal has commented a couple of times on how the team seems to play when Harmon is on the field. Will we see a big win from Dynasty with all this new blood?

First college scholarships offered by the creator of paintball’s namesake foundation awarded for 2012!
Old Hickory, Tennessee – May 14, 2012 – The Bob Gurnsey Paintball Scholarship Awards, created to reward deserving young paintball players with college scholarships in the name of the creator of the game and industry of paintball, is honored to announce its inaugural awards! The 2012 Scholarship Award recipients will be the very first to receive college scholarships from the newly formed organization thanks to the support of many of paintball’s most respected companies.
This Sunday at Living Legend 5, as a mass of players gathered around the stage, the victory of the weekend was awarded to the New Empire. As anyone who's been in a math class, or a computer class that includes Excel, can tell you sometimes mistakes are made. As someone who played for the Horde, I wasn't happy we had lost, but as anyone who's played a Living Legends game can tell you, the scores are less important than the friends you play with. You can check out the explanation, and the real score break down On Techpb, but if I might be allowed to editorialize, the refs were fantastic, the game started on time, missions were fun, and scores, well scores don't matter nearly as much.

In preparation for their Chicago Open event in May at CPX in Joliet, Illinois, the NPPL has announced the addition of a new division of play and a partnership with a new host hotel! The addition of a low cost "young gun" (D4 5-man) division is intended to attract new and local players to the event.
